How We Got Here
I'm Christine but most people know me as Chrissy.
Being a wedding and events florist my love affair with flowers started many moons ago: Even at the age of 3, I loved helping in the family garden tending to plants and watching them grow. I started working as a Saturday girl in my local florist at 15 and loved every minute.
After leaving school I was lucky enough to be given an apprenticeship with a Florist considered one of the best in West Sussex and passed my NVQ2 by the time I was 18.
Having worked as a professional florist for over 20 years I gained my Advanced Level 4 City and Guilds Diploma, proudly attaining 3 distinctions along the way.
Bud and Flower was founded in 2020. I focused on wedding and event florals as this has always been a passion for me.

Since then, Bud and Flower has won many awards within the wedding industry. The Wedding Industry Awards Best Florist in the Southeast 2023, Best Newcomer in the southeast 2022 and highly commended florist.
Bud and flower have also been published in many online wedding blogs... Style me pretty, June bug weddings and OK magazine just to name a few.
The team and I work from our oak framed workshop in the sleepy village of Kirdford located just outside Billingshurst, West Sussex / Surrey.
We are now keen to pass on our knowledge and years of experience to future DIY wedding couples looking to create their own bespoke wedding flowers and to crafty people the art of flower arranging to complement their home styling.
